Fermentation with natural yeast, 50% in stainless steel with temperature control, 30% in 250L pyrogranite stone vessels and 20% in 225L thirdfill French oak barrels. Aged in stainless steel and pyrogranite stone vessels.

THE VINEYARD
This 100% Furmint selection wine originates in Nagykút, Szitahegy, and Hegyalja parcels. These three plots cover less than 5 acres combined, with vines at an average age of 15 years on medium steep slopes facing Lake Balaton in the south. All three parcels feature “Csopak marlstone formation“ (márga) bedrock with crushed marl subsoils and a mineral rich clay-loess mixture on top.
VINTAGE AND HARVEST
2015 was an outstanding vintage with average rainfall and a long, sunny summer. Harvest started a week earlier than is typical, but the ripening process was balanced and steady. We harvested a healthy, high quality crop. Hand-picked in three phases from middle of mid-September to mid-October with yields between 1-1.5 kg/vine.
